Our next Art Outings will be at the Armory Center For the Arts to see my hands are monsters who believe in magic, a group exhibition that explores an artist’s capacity for the radical reimagination of the self through a process of unmaking and remaking. We’ll also learn about the history of the Armory.
my hands are monsters who believe in magic: Featuring contemporary photography, video, and ceramics by ten artists from the Asian diaspora—Alex Anderson, Tommy Kha, Maggie Lee, Jarod Lew, Cathy C. Lu, Diane Severin Nguyen, Miraj Patel, Leonard Suryajaya, Guanyu Xu, and Amia Yokoyama—the exhibition highlights the liberatory possibilities of self-construction and reinvention.

Ryman Arts presents Art Outings with Ryman Arts, a series of events that brings together our alumni, students, and their families to cultural institutions around Southern California. Our goals are to connect our community to the contemporary arts around our region, provide socializing and networking opportunities between and among students and alumni, and to continue to be a source of art education (and fun) for our community.
