Ryman Arts’ first digital arts workforce development program for alumni

A new initiative connecting our alumni to careers in the creative industries

Ryman Arts’ first digital arts workforce development initiative designed to help our alumni translate their rigorous artistic training into real-world creative careers.

  • This program marks an important evolution in our work, expanding our impact beyond the classroom and into the creative economy.

    For over 36 years, Ryman Arts has prepared young artists for college.

    pLAtform builds on that foundation, helping alumni take the next step into careers, portfolios, and professional pathways in the creative industries.

    It’s a critical bridge between education and opportunity.

    • Cohort size: 14 alumni  

    • Program timing: January 9 – April 3, 2027

    • Capstone showcase: tentatively scheduled for April 18, 2027

    • Classes:

      • Tuesdays, 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Zoom

      • Saturdays, 10:00 am to 3:30 pm in-person at Reveal Studio

    • Location: Reveal Studio (Glendale, CA) for Saturday sessions; Zoom on Tuesdays

    To increase accessibility and to offset costs of transportation, food, supplies, and missed workdays, students can be reimbursed up to $250.

  • We’re excited to welcome eligible Ryman Arts alumni to apply.

    Applicants must: 

    • Be a Ryman Arts alumnus

    • Be 18 to 26 years old at the start of the program (January 7, 2027) 

    • Be able to attend weekly in-person and online sessions from January 9 – April 3, 2027, and prepare and participate in a capstone exhibit, tentatively scheduled for Sunday, April 18

    • Be willing to participate in portfolio development, feedback/critique, and a final capstone review event

  • Please review all eligibility criteria before applying.

      • Your resume

      • Link to (do not attach) one digital artwork you have made. In the body of the email or in a separate document, tell us about the artwork, including what tools you used to make it, what your role was if it was collaboratively made, and what you think could be improved in the work
