Joseph is the author of Beginning Design for 3D Printing, a book that introduces artists, designers, and students to the creative possibilities of 3D design and digital fabrication. His professional experience includes leading a production studio and managing a multidisciplinary team of motion graphics artists, 3D modelers, animators, and designers. In that role, he directed projects involving video production, animation, branded content, educational media, and digital design.
Skilled in a wide range of digital tools, Joseph works across the Adobe Creative Cloud, Maya, Blender, Nuke, and other creative production platforms. He especially enjoys concept development and combining traditional 2D techniques with contemporary digital workflows, helping students understand how drawing, design, animation, and technology can work together in a professional creative process.
As an educator, Joseph currently teaches 2D Animation, Design, and Web Development at Pasadena City College and Otis College of Art and Design Extension. His teaching combines traditional art and design foundations with contemporary digital tools, helping students build strong creative skills while preparing them for emerging opportunities in animation, design, media production, and technology.
At Ryman Arts, Joseph serves as the Lead Digital Instructor for the pLAtform program, where he brings together his experience in fine art, design education, animation, and digital production to support young artists as they develop their creative voices, technical skills, portfolios, and career readiness.
