Each Spring, Ryman Arts hosts a Career Day to focus on the expansion of our students’ career horizons. A rewarding, fruitful career in the arts is a possibility for all our students, and there are many options available that they may not know about. We want all our students, and their families, to know that nobody has to be a “starving artist” – you can find a career in the arts that suits you!

A career in art is one of the biggest areas of employment in Los Angeles. As an artist, you can work in many industries, such as fashion, entertainment, publishing, museums, web and video game design - the list goes on and on. This downloadable booklet was created for our 2008 Career Day to give students an introduction to different sorts of art-related careers. It includes a listing of jobs, internships and contests that are available to high school and college aged students.
