 Calling All Artists!

We are looking for alumni artists to donate one or more artworks for our Ryman Arts Alumni Association Fundraiser that will be held at Gale’s Restaurant in Pasadena on Sunday May 18, 2008.

This is a special One-Day Only art sale fundraiser. Any artwork not sold will be returned to the artist that same day. All proceeds go to Ryman Arts program and help cover costs of the fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for art supplies for our fall classes.

To be considered, please email JPG images of the artwork(s) you wish to donate as well as the Title, Medium and Dimensions to alumni@ryman.org.

QUESTIONS?

Why should I donate?
We have many talented alums who have participated in fundraiser events like this and always find it a rewarding and fun experience. Do you have a nice painting you did 2 years ago that hasn’t found a loving home yet? Want to donate a brand new piece? Great! But most of all, donate because Ryman Arts helped you get started as an artist, now it is your turn to help the next generation! Since all sale proceeds go back to the Ryman Arts program, what better way to give back than by giving artwork!

What if my artwork is not sold at the event? Can I get it back?
Of course! You will get your artwork back that same day.

So if I donate a painting or two, what’s in it for me?!
FREE admission to the Fundraiser Event (a $30 ticket value!!)
Your admission includes:
-Hors d’oeuvres
-Access to the Open Wine and Beer Bar (Must be 21+, of course)
-A fun and memorable time with fellow alums and opportunity to mingle with other arts enthusiasts and buyers.

Did you say Open Bar? Okay! I’m sold! What do I do next to be a participating artist?
First you will need to submit JPG images of the artwork(s) as well as the Title, Medium and Dimensions to alumni@ryman.org. Ryman Arts will then be contacting you if you are a selected artist!

I’d love to attend the event, but I do not want to submit artwork.
If you are a RAAA member, tickets are $15 (50% RAAA Discount). To become an RAAA member, please click here. Invitations with more details will be sent out in the next few weeks.

I want to join RAAA and attend the event but I am low on funds. What is my option?
If you submit an artwork piece, we will it count towards regular $25 Membership (Undergraduate Level) and you will receive free admission to the event.

I have another question, but I am shy.
Don’t hesitate to contact Melody Verdugo, Alumni Coordinator by email alumni@ryman.org or by phone (213) 629-2787. Hope to hear from you!
